Questions about the procedure

Viewing

We look forward to you attending our viewing. You can closely view the lots of interest to you at your leisure from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The viewing of unsold lots begins on Thursday after the auction and ends on Friday of the following week. You may view in your own time between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

On the first three days after the auction, our company remains closed to carry out extensive shipping work so it is neither possible to pic up lots or view. Thank you for your understanding.

In both cases, we recommend that you register by Phone with the secretaries. We will then keep a place for you and prepare your lots. If you are unable to view at the times mentioned above, please call us. We will try to find a joint solution.

Information on lots / scan requests / items on approval:

Are you unable to come in and view at the given times, or do you live too far away?

Our employees will be pleased to provide you with further information on our auction lots. We can also send you additional scans or images of our lots.

However, please bear in mind that the effort and expense have to be in keeping with the collections and items. We are unable to prepare dozens or even hundreds of images for a lot worth EUR 50.

Please contact us by Phone, send an e-mail to info@veuskens.de, or simply make an enquiry via WhatsApp.

Against reimbursement of costs, we are also able to ship you the original single lots. Please send us an e-mail, fax or a letter with your shipping details and the relevant lot numbers required. Telephone requests are not possible for insurance reasons. We ask for your understanding that this service is only available shortly before the viewing period, and is only possible for single lots.

Auction procedure / granting of a bid acceptance:

In principle, our main auctions are held fully as room auctions. We are increasingly carrying out our auctions of coins and stamp collections as live auctions online as well. Should you be uncertain in which block your lots are being auctioned, please ask us.

The auction starts punctually at the specified times and the auctioning is rapid. Understandably, it is not possible give the exact time when each lot will appear, as this greatly depends on the proceedings in the auction.

The bid-lots starts at EUR 15, there will be us surcharge below and are always added to the highest bid. All other lots will be auctioned in the interests preserving. This means that even with a high bid, the bid is awarded one step above the last bid without the counterbidder even bidding. With bids of the same price, it is decided based on the order in which they came in.

All lots can also be further viewed during the auction (until these are called). After a bid is successfully accepted, the lots can be taken away against a cash or EC payment.

Telephone bidding can be deployed during the auction from a starting price of EUR 400. Please let us know in writing, for which lots you wish to bid, and give us your telephone number by 6 p.m. on the evening before the auction. However, we cannot give any guarantee that the connection will work. Telephone bids begin with the starting price, and should no other bids be made, the bid is accepted automatically.

Bidding via our online catalogue is very simple and convenient for all participants. You just look for your lots, give your maximum bid, check your shopping basket and send this to us. After is it has been successfully transmitted via the system, you receive a confirmation mail. If this does not come in, we would ask you to check the receipt of your bids with us again.

Written bidding can be done via letter, the bidding form, fax, or e-mail. If you do not use a form, please note down your address details, your lots and your highest bid. No automatic acknowledgement of receipt is issued here.

If you are unable to / do not wish to take part personally in the auction, and do not want to use the other bidding options, you may also be represented by an agent / commission agent in the auction room. This representative takes care of your bids personally for a small fee (to be paid by you) as though you were present. The following commission agents are usually in attendance at our auction:

Sale of unsold lots

All lots that are not sold directly during the action can be purchased for around four weeks after the auction in the so-called “after-sale”. We usually accept bids that are up to 10% lower than the starting price here. If agreed, the bid can be accepted immediately and you can take your deal away with you straight away or have this delivered.

Should you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone or e-mail.
